Someone has to have some usefull knoledge for this area. Thanks in advance! Quote

Super User geo g Posted September 13, 2014 Super User Posted September 13, 2014 I had a best friend that lived in Conway, New Hampshire. He was a devout fisherman and often fished in Maine rather then the lakes of N.H.. Quote

bassfactor Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 I personally love when the bass turn off because it gives me a challange and I like to have to work for that big bite. If I were you i would go to the tactics that have produced for you in the past just find a spot slowdown and fish. If that doesn't work try some things you don't do often. Best of luck. Quote
llPa1nll Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 If I find that the bite and conditions are tough. I switch up and throw a small finesse tube on a jig head on 8-10lb fluorocarbon. I hope that helps. Quote

I appreciate the advice. I use just about everything you've listed but for the prop baits. I've considered getting a couple, but most of the water I fish on is "FULL" of vegetation. I don't mean a lot, I mean a veritable Jungle of Green under the water. I've been trying 'punching' through the greenery, which makes sense, but gotten nothing. It is a bummer but I do my best to use each of these trips as a learning experience. Any waters you can recommend in the Alton/lakes region? Quote
BostonMahhk Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 Your not alone buddy. I've had the same issues and every tourney I've fished since sept has only had winning bags of 12lbs and less. I really don't think all the articles about fall fishing we read pertains much to our area. Our fall comes a lot sooner than the rest of the country and it def doesn't seem like our fish get active to feed up for the winter. It seems more like they turn off. I've asked the same questions and got the same answers as you did. Almost like people aren't fully understanding the type of advice your asking for. I've also tried throwing everything and reading more and more to find a remedy. I've come to the conclusion that it's all about experience and learning the waters your fishing and its personality. I think each lake and its fish have a distinct personality and it can be learned at each time of year. It's all I can come up with until I actually get out on a lake with a pro and see them catch the fish and teach me how they do it. If it even works. Quote
