Tim Kelly Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 When you go on the BPS website does it ask you to acknowledge that the site uses cookies every time you click to a new page? Been doing it for ages for me and so I've stopped looking on there. Any cures, or is it just me? Quote
Super User Raul Posted September 2, 2014 Super User Posted September 2, 2014 I access that site frequently and never had that issue. Quote
Super User Darren. Been doing it for ages for me and so I've stopped looking on there. Any cures, or is it just me? It may be because you are in the UK. A recent law there requires sites to inform visitors of cookie usage and such. Perhaps it is something Bass Pro does for international visitors to their web site. 1 Quote
Tim Kelly Posted September 2, 2014 Author Posted September 2, 2014 Thanks Darren, makes some sense, but a lot of websites have the warning in a little pop up that once you've acknowledged it goes away permanently. The BPS one is a full page you have to click before you can go to the page, every time you click to a new page! With the cookie warning and their international postage it makes it hard to shop with them! Quote

Here's a link I just found that may be of some use, if for nothing else other than a contact email: https://basspro.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/396/kw/cookie Quote
Tim Kelly Posted September 2, 2014 Author Posted September 2, 2014 Thanks for that. Will try their suggestions. Now, about those postage charges..... 1 Quote
Super User Raul Posted September 2, 2014 Super User Posted September 2, 2014 Thanks for that. Will try their suggestions. Now, about those postage charges..... There´s not much you can do there, I´m used to them, I know that up to 25 dollars I can bring certain ammount of ítems, just add a bag more and uh oh, jumps from 25 to 40 dollars at least with mail I can most of the times get away without having to pay import taxes ( actually only once I had to pay taxes ), by other means ( like FEDEX ) I am going to pay taxes, it´s not optional. Super User buzzed bait Posted September 2, 2014 Super User Posted September 2, 2014 Thanks for that. Will try their suggestions. Now, about those postage charges..... yeah, that's nearly criminal! i actually complained to them one time that their shipping made them non-competitive even with like priced items. reason being is that they increase your shipping charges incrementally based on the amount of $ you have in your cart, not the size or weight of the items. I pointed this out, found someone reasonable and they gave me a $10 credit to apply to that purchase which made them once again competitive on that item.... worth a shot. their chat now function is great and i've found their customer service to be far better than average....
