Super User Crestliner2008 Posted September 2, 2014 Super User Posted September 2, 2014 We've been doing very well this summer vertically jigging blade baits in deep water. However, in order to reach the 90' - 120' depths, our 3/4 oz. blades just don't quite do it effectively. Takes way too much time to get down, even with the light spinning tackle we're using. So, do any of you know of a company that sells 1 oz. or 1 1/2 oz. blade baits? The only ones I've found are going for almost $8.00/ea.. That could get very costly when fishing through a stump field. Also, anyone know where I can get a mold for that size blade bait? Since I know some are made and retailed, someone has got to have a mold available as well. Do-It doesn't show one in their catalog. Thanks for any feedback folks! Quote
einscodek Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 I always see blades of those sizes in the saltwater section.. I dont see that you couldnt use those for big deep bass Quote
Super User WRB Posted September 3, 2014 Super User Posted September 3, 2014 Vemon Vibra Max blade makes blade baits to 1 1/4 oz.. Bass caught deeper than 60 feet may suffer brain decompression death even when fizzed. Tom Quote

Super User Crestliner2008 Posted September 3, 2014 Author Super User Posted September 3, 2014 The deepest we catch bass is around 40'. It's the lakers that we take consistently at deeper depths. 2 Quote
