So I was out fishing on my tube yesterday fishing. I caught a few fish but then the bite just seemed to die. In my boredom an idea hit me! I tied on a 1/4 bitsy flip jig and.... added a wacky senko as a trailer! I cast the jig along some tule stalks and bam! Caught a 13 inch bass. Cast to the same spot several times and caught several fish ranging from 12 and 17 inches! Just wondering if any of you guys have tried this. Sometimes being creative works.

The senko Jig trailer, wacky or straight is not a common presentation but not really new.

Guides south of the border have been doing it for a while.

I'll admit that before fishing there I hadn't done it and thought it was weird when I fish fished it.

 Until the bass in my avatar ate a 1/2 jig with a 7 inch senko trailer ~ then I became a big fan . . . .

I figured some one would have tried it. Worked great kinda yo-yo style.

Part of a stick worm is one of my favorite finesse jig trailers. Doesn't do much, except catch fish :)

This is a common technique and several wacky jigs are marketed; Owner, Gamakatsu, Jackell have had jigs designed for Senko's for several years.
