Icast Is Upon Us

Glenn, our Forum advertisers and bass pros are heading to the 2014 ICAST show and we all are looking forward to their posts and pictures.

 

Ike says he will be posting updates on his Facebook page and I expect other pros to do the same.

 

Will be interesting to see the new products that are being introduced this year.

Heard about several baits I'm super excited about. The Zman popping minnow is an awesome concept. Really excited about the KVD 8.0 squarebill and Arashi wakebait. YUM has a good looking new beaver style bait.

You will have to check with your favorite tackle outlet to find out if the items are available.

 

Patience. You will need patience as it can take a while for the manufacturer to fill all of the retail orders.

Well, I know I promised videos every day, but that's proved to be a challenge.  The Internet connections are overloaded, and uploading a video has proven to be very difficult, let alone several.  We'll get them posted asap.

my highlights so far,  

Strike kings new vertical spoon with eyes on it.  interesting concept.  Megabass's new buzz bait (can be found on their jp website.  Duo Realis new G87 20A deep diving crank bait is amazing. a new company called shane's bait's alabama rig with replaceable arms with clear rubber sleeves covering all of the wires. they also have a double blade buzz bait with a 3 arm alabama rig below it (little float things behind the blades for buoyancy). Missle bait making the baby d bomb in green pumpkin-purple, and their new green pumpkin-watermelon color in the fuse 4.4 , and their smaller shockwave.  and green  Minn Kota's new ipilot trolling motor that has a button that automatically stores and deploys the motor for you+ an anchor lock button on the foot pedal (so you can launch your boat without getting in it , hit the deploy button  to deploy the trolling motor and then spot look your boat while you go park the car  , amazing, but they don't have a groove going down the shaft for wires now (I don't understand!!?).  Raymarines new 12.1 fish finder with chirp.  Hydrowaves new H2 unit with 5 different delay features, and 14 preprogrammed sounds as well as their "bream " sound pack.   and that's about all i can remember for now, more tomorrow

Savage Gear brings it every year.  Their new swimbaits look awesome, I see a couple that I will buy and their new soft baits with the internal mesh should be a huge hit with wacky riggers.

The channel in the shaft was for transducer wiring to travel without being in the way

I found the Shane's bait A-Rig as impressive as you did, apparently.  I was amazed with the lightness of the rig, and the potential options to customize.  Sweet concept.  

 

The MinnKota TM was awesome as well.

The 13 Archangel rods feel incredible in hand. PriceTBD. Not as light as I thought they would be, but nice balance.

The Edge Rods booth was my favorite. The new EFX will be a great value at $200.00. The new grips on the high-end series are sweet!

The Ulterra is equipped with Universal Sonar 2 where the cables are routed inside the shaft and the transducer is integrated in the lower unit of the motor.
