My boyfriend and I both caught bass at Lake Winnepesaukee.  He is telling me they are both small mouth bass but I think mine is a large-mouth and his is a small mouth.  My fish is first below and his is second.  Can anyone help solve this battle?

My guess would be both smallies, but I can't see enough detail on your fish.

Smallies without a doubt. Next time if you're not sure just close their mouth and see if the bottom jaw extends past the eye. If it does it's a largemouth, if it doesn't it's a smallmouth (or spot or basically any of the other subspecies of bass).

The mouth is the obvious way to differentiate the species, but those bronze bodies with light vertical stripes were a dead giveaway as well.

They're both small mouth.

Largemouth have two different fins on their back. Smallmouth only  have one.
