Super User A-Jay Posted July 14, 2014 Super User Posted July 14, 2014 Its my once weekly cheat day, granted in the body for life diet. I try to eat foods I enjoy that run right thru me. Not constipated. However, I have had 7 hours sleep in the last 71 hours. I still haven't gone to bed from when I woke up 23 hours ago. However, I will admit about 20 minutes ago I fell asleep on the toilet and smacked my head on the wall, so now I'm wide dang awake again. On our last trip south of the border, The Scounga Club discussed this situation at length - It was then that the term FECALLEPSY was coined. A-Jay 2 Quote
Super User Raul Posted July 14, 2014 Super User Posted July 14, 2014 I get that 2nd and 3rd generation Mexican Americans are not Mexicans and, at least here in Chicago, Mexicans have a bitterness towards the American Mexicans. I have to agree with you, as I have worked in restaurants for the past 15 years. I've had breakfast prepared for me by the cooks with food they've brought from home. I've had authentic tacos that are just meat and onions and how dare I ask for cheese. But, there are different subtleties in Mexican food depending on what part of Mexico it originated which is why there are so many different versions of Mexican food here in the U.S. No difference than why there are so many different types of American food. I prefer the Americanized version of Mexican food. I like the cheese and avocadoThere's a difference, you want cheese ? Then what you want is ...... A QUESADILLA ! tacos do not have cheese, quesadillas do. Now it's up to you on what kind of tortilla you want your quesadilla, corn or flour ( wheat ) tortilla. Personally I prefer flour tortillas for my quesadillas. So, next time you visit a taqueria and want cheese order quesadilla and not tacos, a quesadilla is basically a taco with cheese. You want avocado ? then ask for guacamole. Any decent taqueria should have at least 3 or 4 sauces and most probably at least one dish with guacamole. Quote
Super User Hi Salenity Posted July 14, 2014 Super User Posted July 14, 2014 So do y'all have the mobile Mexican restraints up there? We've always called them maggot wagons. So I don't know the proper name for them. They drive all over the city and park near the business and industrial sections for lunch. Some of them have freaking amazing food I think the politically correct name for them is Roach Coach 2 Quote
Super User Raul Posted July 14, 2014 Super User Posted July 14, 2014 To tell you the truth, I don´t see much difference between a roach and a maggot. 1 Quote
