New Guy In Southern Nh Looking For Fishing Buddy.

Ok so the past few years I have really picked up my bass fishing and absolutely love fishing. Before that i have fished just a few times a year.  I’m a single stay at home dad and have plenty of time to fish. I am fairly new to Amherst, I moved from Dover. I have been fishing round pond in Nashua a lot since I lost a 6+ lb. bass due to a failed braid tie to the hook L I have switched to mostly jigs and trailers and since my numbers caught have dwindled but my size when I do catch is almost always over 2.5lbs or more.  

 

I have caught 2 3lbs+ bass at round pond and about 3 2.5lbs with many bites and failed hook sets. Bottom line is I love bass fishing, I’m learning to use the bait caster much better and I’m looking for someone who wants a good fishing buddy eager to learn.

 

I’d love to maybe join a bass club and start tourney fishing but I have no boat which is also driving me nuts. Im also eager to get into topwater fishing but only have one frog and no luck. 

 

I would have posted sooner but i just recently got new hearing aids and have been pretty much deaf for 4 months so i would not have been a good fishing buddy then lol. I have been a longtime lurker though on this forum.

I don't have a boat either but I don't mind fishing from shore. Ever been to Tower Hill in Auburn? Nice place to hike in and fish. Haven't been there yet this year. Was thinking about going tomorrow.

I can add you to my list.  I am always running into friends who want to go out in the boat fishing.    I have 2 -  $199 kayaks and a $250 canoe with a trolling motor.  I am glad to take anyone , but many times the extra seat is already full. 

search craigslist for a small canoe , kayak or jonboat..   I know there are some not so great looking 10 ft jon boats on craigslist all the time.  they are great for 1 and work well for 2 people as long as they are not 2 huge people.    get a good life jacket ,  some rope and make an anchor.    i use brake rotors as anchors, they are perfect and free.    as at most garages that do brakes.  12 inch rotors are all you need for most    i use a 15 in back and a 12 in the front.   2 anchors stops you from spinning,   many times i only use 1 depending on the current .   basically if 2 guys went in on a used small jon boat or canoe you can easily be on the water for 100 bucks each.

i have been once but just to check it out only stayed about an hour or so but it looks nice. lots of places to fish from shore.
