I fish this this medium sized natural lake that is almost completely covered in weeds, but none of them mat on the surface. There is mostly hydrilla and milfoil in the lake and they grow within a foot of the surface, but the bottom is almost all covered in weeds. I have found some fish on the outside weedlines with a dropoff, but the most of the lake is those weeds which I think hold the majority of the fish. So my question is how would you fish those weeds? Thanks in advance for any help.

Thank you RW this helped a lot. I have tried other presentations through the weeds but no texas rigged soft plastics, I will be sure to try it soon.

In this these types of weeds I like to use a Missile Baits D-Bomb, T-rigged.

If the texas rigging isnt working in the weeds...

Lipless Crank with braid line.

Jig

Most of the time I use Texas Rig D-Bombs or Pitboss or Brush Hogs.

Mann's 1 minus crankbait. I would run it right over the tops of the weeds.

I like flukes and 10.5" worm unweighted t-rigged. Also you can use a chatterbait or swimjig worked right over the top of weeds where it just ticks the top of them.
