Fish Photos From The Bank

I noticed this picture on another thread. It was caught by Goose52 & belongs to him.  It struck me as a fine example of a fish picture taken alone from the shoreline. The fish was either rinsed off before placing it on the ground or just came out of the water clean as can be. The rod & reel in the picture gives you a perspective of the size of the fish as well as a memory of what you caught on that particular combo. My attitude has always been if you are going to take a fish picture strive to take a good one. I personally dislike fish pictures of fish covered in mud & grass.  Kudos to Goose for a great picture that captures the moment.

Goose52 is an outstanding member of the forum and a stand-up guy. I appreciate the way he goes about doing things from a fishing standpoint as well as his reviews on various products. Based upon his posting I wouldn't expect anything less.

Couldn't agree more!  Bank fishermen who practice catch and release should do their research on fish and their slime coats,

Dwight thanks for the post and pic.  Good picture but I would try to keep it off the ground for catch and release.

Nice Fish! I was always taught when catch and releasing to never put the fish on the ground. I always release all healthy bass.

Goose always has great pictures of his fish, especially for fishing by himself. I hate the pictures of fish that look like they were dipped in a mud batter before being rolled in a dirt and grass crust.
