MichaelE Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Hello everybody, I am 15 and a big time bass fisherman. I lived in Florida for 13 years before moving to Washington state. All of my family is in Florida except my mom, step dad, brother and sister. I go to Florida and stay with my dad during my school breaks. When I go to Florida I bass fish almost everyday and saltwater fish on the weekends. I don't bass fish in Washington because where I'm at it is hard to catch largemouth without a boat. I hope to learn from and to show my pictures to everybody on the forum! Quote

mmrivera86 Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Welcome to BR man. I'm from Washington myself. You def have to try some salmon fishing if you haven't already. I love bass fishing, but my heart will always be with salmon and steelhead. Quote
Super User 00 mod Posted June 4, 2014 Super User Posted June 4, 2014 Welcome to the forums! Jeff Quote
MichaelE Posted June 5, 2014 Author Posted June 5, 2014 Thanks for the welcoming everybody!! I was wondering if anybody had one of those B.A.S.S bags that they give out for signing up that they don't use and would be willing to give away. I have one and I wanted to get my dad one so he isn't constantly digging through mine lol! I could also make it as part of a fathers day gift! Quote

BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted June 7, 2014 BassResource.com Administrator Posted June 7, 2014 Martha Lake, Lake Ballinger, Lake Serene, Lake Cassidy, Lake Stickney...all good lakes where you can fish from the ramp. If you go to Lake Goodwin or Flowing Lake, there's a lot of shoreline at the park for plenty of bank fishing. Enjoy! Quote

Have you caught bass at any of those lakes? Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted June 8, 2014 BassResource.com Administrator Posted June 8, 2014 All of them. Quote
MichaelE Posted June 8, 2014 Author Posted June 8, 2014 All of them. Sorry for asking so much, but what and how did you catch them at lake Serene? Was it from the boat ramp? Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted June 8, 2014 BassResource.com Administrator Posted June 8, 2014 The area around the ramp is relatively shallow, and there's weeds. So bottom-hugging lures are out. Rapala #11 jerkbaits in the early morning, and then 3" Kalin grubs swam over the tops of the weeds work well, as do Senkos, Yum Dingers, etc. I tired spinnerbaits and crankbaits on several occasions, but didn't have much luck. Have fun! 1 Quote
