Cgrinder Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 Spro will be releasing a new rat swimbait. I hope they're not $25 a pop. My girlfriend is going to want sixteen of those. Quote
Super User smalljaw67 Posted June 14, 2014 Super User Posted June 14, 2014 Fenwick will have a new line of Elite Tech Bass rods and one that I know of is a 7'8" cranking rod. I'm not sure how many rods will be in the line but I know they were based upon what Ott Defoe wanted. Quote
gripnrip Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 Looks like lotsa guys are gonna spend whole days not catchin nothin' Keep thinking that and I'll keep catching bass on huge baits regularly. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted June 15, 2014 Global Moderator Posted June 15, 2014 Strike King KVD 8.0: magnum size squarebill to complement the 10XD. Makes sense with the obvious trend this year in magnum crankbaits. The stuff that Savage Gear is showing at Efftex right now I'm sure will show up some at ICAST. They've got some COOOOOOL stuff coming out. Spro will be releasing a new rat swimbait. Post like this make the monkey super excited! Quote
hoosierbass07 Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 Wasn't there an iCast in January in Las Vegas? I thought the fishing companies only held one expo/show a year. What is this ICast in Orlando about? Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted June 19, 2014 BassResource.com Administrator Posted June 19, 2014 iCast is once a year. Last one was in July 2013 in Las Vegas. Quote
bmlum415 Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 Dobyns zayta!!! Sorry had to. This rods 3 icasts behind as is. I've been told the zayta wasn't coming out until late this year or early next. I got to hold the new zaytas and they are the best thing I've ever felt. Quote
robster80 Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 zayta? is that suposed to be a step above the champ extreme? Quote
CTGalloway21 Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 Sure hope the KVD is a copy of the Keitech.. so far the KVD knockoffs imo have been better than the originals.. and I hate payin an arma nd a leg for Keitechs.. but it says the KVD is for chatterbait trailers.. does anyone use Keitechs fro that? I'd think it'd be overkill.. I use Keitechs for trailers. A good alternative is the Bass Assassin Boss Shiner. Can't tell a difference at half the price. Quote
Zach P Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 Megabass JUST posted this on Facebook: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J3fS0YJVAwo Jump towards the end: are they trying to copy the wiggle wart? If they were able to replicate the searching action of the wart I would jump all over these! Quote
Global Moderator Mike L Posted June 19, 2014 Global Moderator Posted June 19, 2014 Let's just answer the annual question now: No, it's not open to the public. It's an industry trade show. You have be part of the industry or in the media with credentials to gain access. Hey Glenn! If you and Keri need a chauffeur/bodyguard/dog walker/or an all around gofer while you're walking around, let me know. I can be there in 3 hrs!! Mike Quote
Super User iabass8 Posted June 19, 2014 Super User Posted June 19, 2014 zayta? is that suposed to be a step above the champ extreme? Yes. It's been in the making for a few years now. Lots of set backs that are out of his (gary) control. Quote
gripnrip Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 Gene Larew is supposed to be showing a new bait that is coming out. The owner is slamming them in Michigan at the present time with the bait. I'm anxious to see the bait due to the Biffle bug being a big hit! Quote
Bobby Uhrig Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 I developed something really unique-It wont be ready for ICAST though. This year we will be showcasing the New Roland Martin Big Bass Spinner Baits- Quote

basscatcher8 Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 I saw Aqua-Vu is showing a trolling motor camera mount at iCast. Not sure how useful it will be except for right around the boat or in really clear water but it looked cool lol Quote

I guess how clear the water is will be the most important part. Quote
Hogsticker Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 I wonder if Lews will be adding any more reels to the already extensive line up. Maybe a magnesium reel, or a new TP size reel with the BB1 Pro braking system..... Some of the new 13 rods will have Fuji Torzite guides and the brand spanking new Fuji TVS spinning rod reel seat (blank through design!), and the new PTS casting reel seat which looks fantastic!! http://www.fishonmag.com/torzite/ Quote
Megastink Posted June 25, 2014 Author Posted June 25, 2014 I'm very excited for Duckett's line of casting reels. I'd like to see some lefty 8.0:1 ratios for flipping and frogging. Quote
