Scorchx1245 Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Wacky rigged some senkos yesterday and not really liking this style it was deadly, I wasn't catching anything all day, so I found a shallow area along a main channel, and went caught atleast 6 2.5-3 lbs so then they shut off on the senkos hooked Texas weightless changed from watermelon to pumpkin they acted liked they were kids with candy , caught another 5-6 that way I love wacky rigging senkos now. Super User Catch and Grease Posted May 25, 2014 Super User Posted May 25, 2014 I like wacky rigging senkos when im sight fishing for shallow bass but other than that I've never cared much for a wacky rig Quote
hb2392 Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Wacky is one of the styles I fish often. I've caught all of my big fish on them, from ponds to lakes wacky style around my area is one of the more efficient go to techniques. I love it, I actually prefer it over texas rigging senkos. Watermelon Red, Junebug, and Mardi Gras yum dingers, and watermelon or a blue yamamoto are the colors I've had the most success with. Don't know if you've tried the o-rings on them, but they sure lessen the chances of loosing a bait. Quote

hb2392 Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Yeah, you can get them from basspro, or TW that I've seen. I have not seen them at academy. Just a little black oring that you slip over a senko and slide to the middle then put your hook through it. Just keeps that senko compressed on the hook a little better so you dont loose them so much when you cast, in a perfect world the senko is supposed to slide up the line when you hook a fish. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't haha. But for the price of them, they sure are a cheap insurance and saves you money in the long run. 1 Quote
