hooah212002 Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 I am currently using the pockets inside of my BPS Worm Bag to store a few spinnerbaits, but I would like some different ideas that other people have come up with. I don't have enough to justify the huge boxes dedicated to them, but enough (and growing) that I'd like a better option. I'd like to keep them in the same container so I don't have to search through different bags/boxes just to find the color I want. You may say: "just carry a couple generic colors and leave the rest in the truck". I could, but the places I fish regularly are pretty heavily fished and the fish are picky enough that the slight color difference between green pumpkin with red flakes and plain green pumpkin could mean lots of fish or no fish. The same with a white spinnerbait or a white/chartreuse or gold blades and silver. Long story short, I like to carry all but the most useless gear with me as long as it's not too heavy or unwieldy. For reference: The gear I currently carry is a (pretty big) backpack that has a number of large plano boxes, a smallish shoulder bag and the BPS worm bag. Quote
drodriguez Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 I'm just like you. I carry a large tactical backpack when I go fishing. I have two Plano double sided 3700 series boxes, one loaded with crainkbaits, the other loaded with rip baits. I have 5 3600 series boxes, one loaded with terminal tackle, one with 10XD's, one with spinnerbaits, and two that are empty, begging to be filled. I carry my soft plastics in a separate bag. Its the B.A.S.S. Bag that they send you when u have a membership. I wish I could show you pictures. I don't know how to upload pics from my phone. Quote

nascar2428 Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 I use a Plano Elite 3607 Spinnerbait Organizer in a backpack. X3, it's perfect for the backpack, and can hold up to eighteen spinnerbaits. All five of my plano's for my backpack are from the 3600 series. 2 Quote
hooah212002 Posted May 22, 2014 Author Posted May 22, 2014 I use a Plano Elite 3607 Spinnerbait Organizer in a backpack. Hmm. I will give one of those a shot. It looks smaller than I thought because I recall spinnerbait boxes being much bigger the last time I looked into them (which was, admittedly, some time ago). Thanks. Quote
TrippyJai Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 I used to use a Falcon spinnerbait box and that thing is great. Easy access and very organize, though no ideal for a bank beater. I now use a worm bag to place my spinnerbaits. Less convenient than the box, saves space when you want to travel more compact. Quote
OK Bass Hunter Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Falcon FTO spinnerbait wallet does quite well for me. Quote
Super User Raul Posted May 22, 2014 Super User Posted May 22, 2014 Flambeau manufactures a small box that can hold 6 spinnerbaits. Model 220, measures 7" x 4" x 1.5 ". 2 Quote
McKinneyLonghorn Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 I carry one of the Academy H20 Express tackle backpacks, with one of the storage boxes a Plano 3600 Spinnerbait Box. The backpack easily carries a few dozen bags of soft plastics, four 3600-size boxes and a few smaller boxes for terminal tackle. Quote
hooah212002 Posted May 22, 2014 Author Posted May 22, 2014 Falcon FTO spinnerbait wallet does quite well for me. Where can I get one, though? A quick google search leads me to believe they are discontinued. Quote

Super User Raul Posted May 22, 2014 Super User Posted May 22, 2014 The FTO binder is discontinued, the Flambeau box isn't for what I know, I have two and I' m very pleased with them. Quote
OK Bass Hunter Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 eBay has a couple. They are branded Plano FTO Spinnerbait Wallet. Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted May 22, 2014 Super User Posted May 22, 2014 This will probably explain why I don't classify myself as bass fisherman, even though I catch a lot of them. Bank fishing I have 2 or 3 lures in a old Rapala box in my front pocket, a pack of flukes in my back pocket and a spinner bait hanging from my belt loop, 1 spinning rod of course. 1 Quote
Tyler j Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 On our Triton Dad took a piece of aluminum right angle and drilled holes in it just big enough for 2 spinnerbait hooks to go through & attached it to the hatch( the part that comes up) you can just hang them with the blades facing you and when you close the hatch they all hang vertical. Fits perfect in my Cabelas waist pack. Holds 6 a spinnerbaits which is plenty for bank fishing.its only $3.59 to Quote
Super User bigbill Posted May 22, 2014 Super User Posted May 22, 2014 I store most of my spinnerbaits in a large spinner bait/worm green plastic box. Storage at home. For fishing I use the spinner bait box that fits in the bottom of my 9606 split roof tackle box. Fishing from shore I carry a few tackle boxes. I carry an assortment of smaller sizes and colors. Mainly blue glimmer and a hot chartreuse color spinnerbaits. I haven't really tried the larger and different colors from shore yet. For now the gold Colorado single, or double or Colorado and Indiana double is working. From shore the micro, mini and 1/4oz spinnerbaits are hot. I do need to try the larger ones more. Quote
Super User Choporoz Posted May 22, 2014 Super User Posted May 22, 2014 Do any of the suggested boxes also fit your buzz-baits? Quote
Super User Raul Posted May 22, 2014 Super User Posted May 22, 2014 Do any of the suggested boxes also fit your buzz-baits? The Flambeau box I talk about doesn´t fit buzzbaits, I do have a couple of the FTO buzzbait binders. Quote
5fishlimit Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 I have a 10 page CD binder, and put them in the sleeves. Quote

Super User rippin-lips Posted May 22, 2014 Super User Posted May 22, 2014 I carry a backpack while bank fishing so using the Plano box is a waste for me since I only carry 3 total and I don't need 18 spinnerbaits for the day. I do use it to store my baits in though on the boat. I found a little wallet thing that was for a small first aid kit but it's perfect for carrying a few buzzbaits and spinnerbaits while on the bank. Closed I 's only about 4x6x1 and has 2 zippered compartments. Even has a clip to hang it by if I needed to. Quote
gripnrip Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 I have this binder that used to be made by Falcon. It is an awesome binder for bankbeaters or co-angling. Plano purchased the rights to make the FTO from Falcon. Plano makes the binder now with a different color scheme. http://www.great-lakes.org/graphics-2/Falcon/Rev-01-12-09/6-FTO-1108BIG.jpg Quote
