Off the top of my head, I would try and buy a cheap-ish point and shoot camera like a Nikon coolpix or Cannon cyber-shot, or whatever you can get for $89 at Best Buy or Wally-World.  There are some great deals to be had at 8mp or better.  I've seen some 16+mp cameras for well under $100.  Most of them take 1080p video.  Personally I have a DSLR (I know, aren't I something? :respect-059: ) but I would not try it with one of those, unless you could rig something with a chest strap - maybe rig it using a backpack's chest strap.  DSLRs are tough to carry around and really expensive to replace when they fall in a lake or are crushed under a person.  Cell phones are another choice, but again, expensive to replace because it's also your phone.

So then, I would try and rig the small camera like a head lamp.  Not sure how since I've never tried, but that's just my 2% of a dollar.  I have a Petzl head lamp, and might give it a try just for fun...

Make that a third person for GoPro. The video quality it is capable of is RIDICULOUS for the price, and they have the best mounting systems to attach your camera to pretty much whatever you want! On a Kayak you could use the adhesive mount to stick somewhere on the boat, you could use the vice grip mount with the bendable neck, or the chest or head mount for a first person POV. The possibilities are endless.

Gopro and Drift are probably going to be your best options. Back when I got mine I choose the Drift Ghost over the GoPro simply for the fact it had looping video, it records in a loop and then you hit the record button on the remote like when you get a fish it records 2 minutes back and until you hit stop. Really comes in handy for fishing only thing it only recoded 30 fps in 1080p so slow motion was kinda jumpy.

But now they both have new versions and I still believe Drift has the edge just not as popular. GoPro now has a looping feature similar to drift and drift can now record at 60 fps at 1080p. They're pretty even now, if I got another one right now it would probably be the new drift ghost s , I really like the gopros but everyone I now that has one always talk about the terrible battery life. That's one area the the Drift cameras really shine, I have the drift ghost hd and get a consistent 3 hours and that's running it in looping mode the whole time and the new drift ghost s has a battery life of 3.5 hours

I-KAM sunglasses, they were the first to come out with them but now there are even high-definition models that range in price from $70 up to $200 and the video quality is pretty good.

Picked this idea up off of you tube. It works perfectly but isnt the most cool looking way to fish.

HAT CAMERA:

Things you need:

1. Hat

2. Washers 2count

3. Nut

4. Bolt

5. Knife

6. Cheap camera

This is how I did it.

Went to goodwill found a hat with a double thick brim.

Went to homedepot with the camera. Found a small screw that would screw into the bottom of the camera.

Found two matching size washers and a nut.

Find the center of the hats brim and poke a hole closest to the head as possible.

Placed the wash on the bolt. Put the bolt through the hole. Placed another washer then the nut and tightened it all down.

Camera can now screw on and off and you have a hat camera.

I chose nylon screws nuts and washers also used poly urethane washers against the hat brim to help keep everything from spinning.

After the cost of the camera. It came to a whopping total of $3.23

Ill have to upload videos and a pic later.
