Super User Redlinerobert Posted May 14, 2014 Super User Posted May 14, 2014 Hey guys, any of you have any old 78 rpm records you want to get rid of? I just bought a 1906 Victor V 'talking machine" and am looking for records to play on it. Quote
Super User slonezp Posted May 14, 2014 Super User Posted May 14, 2014 Raider may have some Cradle of Filth vinyl available. Quote
Super User Raider Nation Fisher Posted May 14, 2014 Super User Posted May 14, 2014 Raider may have some Cradle of Filth vinyl available. I'm keeping my Cradle of Filth vinyl. Same with my Slipknot, Dimmu Borgir, Pennywise, Black Sabbath, and Alice Cooper vinyl. 1 Quote

Super User deaknh03 Posted May 15, 2014 Super User Posted May 15, 2014 Darn it. Those were the exact titles I was looking for. I hear slonezp is willing to let go of his GG Allin collection. 1 Quote
Super User Raider Nation Fisher Posted May 15, 2014 Super User Posted May 15, 2014 Darn it. Those were the exact titles I was looking for. I have a duplicate album by Ludwig Van, of the glorious 9th, somewhere. I believe I have some duplicates of a few of his other works as well. Im pretty sure I have a couple Mozart vinyls. Maybe a Chopin and a Bach that were given to me as gifts. I really don't care for the symphonies on them. I could contribute those possibly. 1 Quote
Super User Redlinerobert Posted May 15, 2014 Author Super User Posted May 15, 2014 ^ If they are 78 rpm would happily take them off your hands. Quote

However, now that I know what a 78 is. I will gladly send you some if/and when I find some. I know of a ton of record stores and places in the area that would likely have some. Quote
Super User Raider Nation Fisher Posted May 15, 2014 Super User Posted May 15, 2014 Dam! Those would sound epic just lounging in living room with glass of good booze just soaking in the music. Precisely. The 9th is one of my all time favorite symphonies. I have spent lots of time relaxing and listening to it. Same with symphony no5 and no7. Quote
tipptruck1 Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 I also didn't know what a 78 was. I only know one person that has records today. He is a DJ at the loop in Chicago. I will see if he can help you out. Precisely. The 9th is one of my all time favorite symphonies. I have spent lots of time relaxing and listening to it. Same with symphony no5 and no7. Now you make me feel bad. I usually listen to Rammstein or Slayer to mellow out. Quote
Super User Lund Explorer Posted May 15, 2014 Super User Posted May 15, 2014 I've got a bunch of old Beatles 45's you can have. Played at that faster speed, you might hear a hidden message or two! Also have a big old box of 8-Tracks in need of a home. Quote
