Nothing like starting the day off with a new blade in the razor. Just makes me feel it's going to be a great day. Hey, I'm old, I enjoy small things now.

I'm young and I enjoy that. Got a safety razor, straight razor, and a Gillette(sp) Pro Glide. I love the straight razor. However the safety razor is a VERY close second. It just doesn't get as close as the straight razor. I gotta badger brush and saving soap too.

Hopefully you didn't use the new razor after a night of drinking. :eyebrows:

For me it's waking up on Sunday to the smell of bacon wafting in from the kitchen...never gets old for me.

My dad is old too, he enjoys his razors as well. He got me into the old ones you unscrew and put a real razor blade in. 100% better than that new style with the triple blades and you get a pack of razors they will last you two yrs.

I buy the cheapo 99cent pack from Walmart. When I shave I use the clippers first to knock down the bulk then cheapo cleans it up and I use an electric one when in the field.

I have one of those safety razors. Gonna have to buy a pack of blades. Haven't used it in years. Newer ain't always better.

Yep that is what they are called I couldn't think of the name but you cannot beat 5 bucks for a pack of 10 blades. I shave once or twice a week and they last me a long time.

What brand of blades do you use in it? I hear Gillette Blue Blades are supposed to be good. I just can't find them.

Raider, all the Gillette blue blades are now made in Russia. You can find them on Amazon for $22.49 for a pack of 100 blades.

Was just looking at those the other day at Walgreens. They had whatever brand razor the Pawn Stars guy promotes on sale.

I just googled it. Nice...Didn't know he promoted a razor

I used to like the bic single edge disposable razors. They didn't clog as easy as the double edge razors and always appeared to be sharper than the Gillette double edge.

I don't spend a lot on razors and shave 2 times a week in the shower, no shaving cream, just hot water. :Idontknow:

That is the another thing  I love about safety razors they don't clog, dip em or run them under water and it comes out a lot easier than the cartridge razors. You don't have to stand there beating them on the side of the sink.
