Me and my dad got a tournament on Wylie this weekend. Were launching in NC waters and we dont wanna run down to SC. We cant seem to be on better fish, do yall know of any baits of that have been catching bigger fish, or of any spots on the NC side were youve been catching bigger ones?

Thanks,

They've definitely been spawning so postspawn would be the main phase there in . Although the 14th is a full moon so there might be a late wave of spawners but im not sure I would target them unless I saw one on a bed. Look for bait balls pockets and coves. If you find that usually the bass are there as well. They'll just about bite anything right now to.

well, at the ramp I saw 5 fish turn in less than 30 seconds and I said to my dad we have to fish here. There were birds and all sorts of fish showing on the graph. When we launched we just droped the trolling motor and fished but we didnt catch any. Then we stoped at 2 more spots but didnt get a single one in the boat. Then we decided to run up river, we imediatly started catching them so we said were going to win it or lose it up here. We were catching all our fish on just a small 1/8 oz. shaky head.
