Super User F14A-B Posted May 14, 2014 Super User Posted May 14, 2014 I caught a nearly 3 pounder right on the bank/rocks= (heat) in early spring last year. Bait was a storm paddle tail bluegill! They have a bigmouth too! Catch them on crankbaits all the time.... Really A nice fish you got there! Congratulations ! Quote

einscodek Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 Was that a solo or one of many? Usually fish for bass but when I catch a crappie, I move to my ultralight and start chuckin grubs cause when u catch one, theres sure to be many many others. Quote
Super User Jigfishn10 Posted May 14, 2014 Super User Posted May 14, 2014 photo 102.JPG Nice one for sure! This time of year you can have a lot of fun with them on a 1/4 oz Pop-R. Congrats BUd! Quote

He hit a KVD Slashbait so I was kind of surprised when I pulled him up, seems like that'd be too big for him. Anyway I can't complain; two more species and I've caught every species in the pond.
