This year's graduating class just presented me with a bottle of Macallan 21.

I could barely thank them.

Sometimes this teaching business is it's own reward.

My very first year teaching, I was teaching 5th grade. It was the last day before Christmas break and this little girls brings me a wrapped present and says "My Mom said to wait till you get home to open it." I thought, okay. I got home and it was a half gallon of Crown Royal. I wasn't even sure if some sort of law had been broke, lol.

Nothing like a fine Single Malt, enjoy the fruits of your efforts and appreciate your thoughtful class.

Just goes to show how well respected you are , the gift speaks volumes of what we have already come to know and love about you here within this little community of ours !!

Congrats and enjoy !!!

Nothing compares to receiving a gift of gratitude.

On a side note, back in 2002-2005 I was teaching RE Finance at the local community college.  After the final I'd take the entire class out for pizza and beer.  If I did that now I'd probably end up in jail.  :)

I am a huge Cub fan and my class last year gave me tickets and a tour of Wrigley.

After a small glass, I'd have to say the finest single malt scotch I've ever tasted. I always have a bottle of Macallan 12 on hand. I consider it the standard by which all other single malts are judged. The 21 is simply above and beyond.
