Did it again the next morning, hung a 3lber but he spit it back at me right at the bank so I still can't say I've caught a bass on one. Quote

As the season goes on, you'll have fish on that you wouldn't even know about, just a dead weight on the end of your line. You will also have a fish on when you feel like you snagged, which is how I got my PB. BTW, did I tell you to set the hook in both scenarios, you may want to!
