guisingerevan Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 I was wondering if any of you guys use this reel case from Plano or something similar? I have to transport my bb1 pros, bb1s, and other reels overseas and I know the airlines just abuse luggage so I was curious to see if anyone uses something like this? It's fairly inexpensive ($20) which is why I'm a little skeptical of the quality. Thanks Quote

guisingerevan Posted March 17, 2014 Author Posted March 17, 2014 Two words "carry on" Tight lines Andrew Contacted the airline and they said that the fishing line on the reels is not allowed. Too expensive to replace fishing line just to come to and from a few countries! Quote

You need to contact TSA and ask, NOT the airline! Jeff Quote

How bout taking the spools out of the reels and putting those in the middle of your luggage and bringing the spool less reels as carry on Quote
Super User Felix77 Posted March 17, 2014 Super User Posted March 17, 2014 I have been carrying on two reels with me for over a year. It was all domestic though. Maybe the rules are different for overseas?? Quote

Uncle Leo Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 I use this and have packed it in a bigger bag to Mexico with no issues. Have carried it on also with no second, look. I think mine is 8 years old and has held up fine. Quote

ChicagoEd Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 To the OP, I have that exact box. It is amazing. Very very tough. Also has a ton of padding that you can remove or keep depending on how many and type of reels you put in there. Very rugged box. My reel collection is pretty pricey and I wanted something that was durable...this box is great. It's what I use when I travel to northern Canada. Great value great box. Oh, and I get to put all my cool decals on it! TW, B.A.S.S., Daiwa, etc. love it. Quote
