I'm still blown away by that Revo/All Star Combo. I guess it's good that I don't have a Dick's close by - I probably would have got a bunch of combos (that I don't need) at that price. :)

Yesterday when I went the salesman said the one St Croix I bought was the last one they had. I had a hunch this morning and went back  to check and sure enought they had some more but they WERENT TAGGED. I had the cashier scan the price of a St Croix Premier 6'6" MH Fast ---yep $23.48, I bought it :)

So a heads-up even if its not tagged with the .97 or .93 have it checked might get lucky.

How about posting a location on some of these good deals.  I called my closest Dick's and ask about the sales, however that is not the same as going into the store and asking them to scan it for you.

Would like to be sure, before I make a 120 mi. round trip to see.

I guess call them be VERY polite tell them you are 60miles away and if they would kindly scan a St Croix Premier rod for you. Tell them you are seeing online reports of good deals on these rods and on their website.

Like I mentioned the salesman didnt even know he had more on sale but that is not hard to imagine. :)

I went to one of the Peckers in Richmond as I had a $10 coupon and purchased some MegaStrike and a Strike King swimming jig.

They stock was really picked over and I got the last MegaStrike they had so I am a happy camper.  :)

I sent yesterday and they hardly had anything left on sale...  No combos, no reels, no poles, no trolling motors...  Most of the baits were gone, the baits that were on sale hardly had any markdown...  I always miss all the deals  >:)

I cleaned out the one in Henrietta last week, My credit card is still smoking. They didn't have the rod deals that the other stores are having, but they had great deals on LC pointers, Braided line, All sorts of Rapala cranks, and Rage Tail baits.

The best deals I saw were on the fishfinders, they had $200+ color units marked down to $60, great way to pick up a spare sonar.

Tuck,

Were those Sonars complete with cables too?  The Dicks in Vestal NY had a few but only the unit itself.  They were clearly display models and were a bit beat up, but I still thought they were pretty good prices.  I'm just not sure how easy it is to find all the components.

Made the 60 mi drive to Dick's in Hickory, NC today.  Spent about 80 bucks on stuff that was on sale.  Should have gone when I first heard about the sale.  Everything had been picked over pretty bad by the time I got there.  The $349 trolling motor for $109 blew my mind.  It was a transome mount though and no good to me.

Funny you ask, they were when I was there last week, but I went back tonight to see if I could pick up a garmin unit for another member on this forum, and all they had left were the floor models, without cables and 'ducers. They said they could give the cut up cables to sort through but it greatly cheapened the deal.

I did pick up all the $2 rage tail chunks and $5 sonic braid that I left behind last week. I have never tried ragetail before because IMO they are overpriced but now that I have 19 packs of chunks and craws that I got for $2 a pop I hope that they live up to the hype they get on this forum

You should grab those display models! I would imagine cables and other pieces are easy enough to order from MinnKota. Most times managers would be willing to get rid of those display units at very low cost just to get them out of the system.

Went to local dick's in Gaithersburg,Maryland over the weekend and got a 55lb. minn kota endura transom mount for 110.00 marked down from 250.00.Can't beat that deal with a stick and can't wait to use it.

I should have ran on over to ours today. Got another $10 GC in the mail today.

Naturally, and as usual, the Kport Dicks doesn't have anything worth buying.  Went in there last week to use a gift card and a rewards certificate.  Was planning on buying a rod, they have gotten rid of their premium rods (Loomis, etc.).

Ended up getting $150 worth of salt blocks for $18.

I offered to buy a display treestand a month ago, they wouldn't sell it.

Yeah, that's different. For safety reasons store policy is not to sell display treestands to customers.

employees on the other hand....

I nabbed this

for $70

not to mention two chair blinds for $20 total.

Mine doesn't carry any premium rods either, but after seeing how many customers come in and fold rods in half, I can understand it.

They carried Loomis IMX for about two or three years.  Don't know how many they sold.  Rod selection last week was the worst it has ever been since the store opened.  A couple of Skeets, a few Croix Triumphs and Mojos and the rest junk.

I got more than a little PO'ed by the whole deal.  12' aluminum ladder stand, on clearance for $70.  Only display left, they wouldn't budge on policy.  Told them I didn't give a crap about liability, I just wanted the stand.

They won't even sell them to employees without a release of liability. I guess they got sued in the past or something.

Yeah Dan noticed that your store did not have any of these premium rods some of these guys have picked up.  The sunday before last I hit these up.....

1 pack rage baby crawa

1 pack rage chunks

1 pack rage space monkey

1 rapala x rap

1 rapala shad rap

1 red eye shad lipless crank

1 strike king burner spinnerbait

1 pack of bass magic swimbaits

1 pack gamakatsu weighted swimbait hooks

1 pack gamakatsu oct in line cirlcle hooks for drop shots

32 bucks total cost.... pretty sweet seeing the rage tail stuff is ussually more than half that.

Dan this sale going to go on with any restocking in your place?  Can give away some more of my bucks for a good deal.  Some of the stuff I got, the red eye shad and one rage tail pack were not even on sale, but was there so went for em.

The 50% off clearance ended on the 24th as far as I saw. Beyond that, all of the new stock that I have scanned so far has been regular price. I think the clearance was just on last year's stock to make room for the new stuff.

just called the 3 nearest locations to me and they all said the sale ended.. that stinks.. i wanted to go get somemore St. Croixs... I read someone got an Avid for 68$
