Hey guys, I have to pick up a pair of insulated bibs in the next month before my tournament season starts. As of right now I'm looking into the BPS 100mph Pro Qualifier bibs for around 190 bucks. Are there any other brands that you guys prefer for not only cost but durability and use? Thanks!

Back when I bought my set, I tried both BPS & Cabelas and the Cabelas Guide Wear fit me better.  You might want to consider getting the uninsulated ones and wearing layers underneath as necessary.  That would be a little more versatile.  If the weather is just chilly rather than cold, you can start sweating in the insulated bibs and that isn't good - health wise and sweating up your bibs wise.

I have a pair of Gander Mountain 100 mph Gore Tex rain gear that I bought 50lbs ago. Its a few years old, but works great! I have bibs and a jacket, red and black size Large. PM me if you're interested.

What's the price point on these? I see there are some for 150 and then others for 300.

Thanks for the offer I appreciate it, but I'll probably buy something new.

If you have a Cabelas nearby, check the Bargain Cave for discounted Guide Wear. I have both insulated and uninsulated Guide Wear bibs. The price was too good not get both. Or check online.

Same Here - Occasional checking of items in the Cave has paid off a few times but especially on this item.

I love everything about all the Cabelas Guide Wear I own.

The price point you select is up to you, however this is one brand where you definitely get what you pay for.

The insulated garments are very warm but not too bulky.

As previously mentioned, purchasing the un-insulated gear and then layering when necessary is a viable option.

Good Luck

Unfortunately the nearest Cabela's to me is 2 hours away. BPS is less than an hour. Anyone have any opinions on the BPS 100mph suits? Or any others?

KVD uses it, and it's good enough for him I'm guessing it will suit you just fine.

Unfortunately, for my bank account, I drive past Cabelas twice a day. So I stop 2-3 times/week. I mostly go straight to the Bargain Cave. Some times there is new stuff at great prices.

My fishing partner purchased himself a set of the BPS PQ bibs and jacket last year and it worked out really well for him.  We fished a couple tournaments in the worst bloody downpours I have ever seen too.  This caused me to rethink being wet from both leaks and sweat in my frogg-toggs.  FT's good for 2 seasons but that's it, plus they don't breath.

This xmas I picked up the BPS 100MPH suit because it was on sale for $100 off plus $50 in bass bucks back.  If I had not bought that I probably would have gone for the PQ suit.  However; I am very glad I went this way.  I wore the 100MPH suit a couple times this winter with the "polar vortex" coming through with warm layers underneath.  This suit is the dang bomb.  Period.  Completely cuts wind.  I did not sweat at all.  And it has several nice patches of fleece in the right spots for warming like in the pockets and on the collar.  Everything is weld sealed.  Time will tell for sure but as of today I would buy it again in a heartbeat.

100 MPH is what I have.  I have always used cheaper rain gear.  They are top notch compared to what I was using.  I just purchased a size bigger so that way I could layer.  I'll say this, I felt nothing at 50+ speeds at a 40 degree temperature.  They are worth their weight in gold IMO.
