Ok what are your plans for next year in bass fishing what are you going to do different??

Any equipment upgrades?

Buy a few more technique specific rods, some more reels, try to fish flw and won bass on the west coast here and improve my fishing techniques

Throughout winter im going to be replacing all of my rods with better quality rods, all of which will serve a different purpose. Will probably replace all my reels too

Im going to direct tie alot more of my lures as i was always using snaps and snap swivels before, i think direct tying on tubes and cranks / lipless cranks will be much better

Going yo try fluorocarbon on the new cranking rod and see how i like it

Get more into pitching jigs for LMB

Nothing different and I like my gear, my methods work fine so I'm sticking with them.  When they don't work that's the time for a change.

Become a fish finder guru. I bought a nice one a couple years ago for my kayak and i haven't put much time in on it.

Keep fishing as down here their is no break... :fishing2:

also learning new ways to summons up the monster ... :eyebrows:

For me if it is not broken ... don't fix it ...

Or if its work-n.. don't change it...

I've got a very nicked up prop that has got to be replaced this off season.  I'd like to go an off season with no major gear upgrades, just for my wallet to know what that feels like.  What is the chance of that happening?

There isn't any doubt in my mind that sometime this off season, I'll have a "poor me" moment and I will solve it by  throwing money at it.

My goal and my bucket list is to fish and fish harder next season and break the state record for LMB. I've been so close and lost them.

Like I said here before I swear on my soul what I'm telling you is true I have seen these bigger gals swim by me and appear like ghosts in the water at the drop offs. If I truly have bigger bass here in the northeast my point is bigger bass have to be in all of are states too. I constantly watch behind my lures and scan the water too. My two spots are above the water so I have the view like I'm in a boat but a tad higher.

Catching a monster isn't easy. Sometimes I think I caught my PB of 10# way too soon. I

feel I didn't earn it so easy in my bass fishing. But I was fishing 24/7 for three months a year for a few years before it happened. But the bigger ones are out there and there smart too that's how they got that big.

God bless bigbill

It's skill not luck in fishing!!!!!!!!!

I'm satisfied with my gear right now, so I won't be upgrading anything there. I plan on having some reels serviced over the winter, and I hope to spend some time making jigs and blade baits.

I'll probably sell both boats, purchase another, and maybe a couple new fishing kayaks.

Fat lady never dances, and who are you feeling sorry for? I get to play with these guys all winter long, while the lake is frozen.... :eyebrows:

I'm going to buy some baits, buy the fiance' a new spinning reel, and as I do each Winter I will practice casting/pitching.

I plan on continuing to learn the sport since my reading so far has indicated we don't get much of an "off" season in Georgia, and trying to convince my wife to keep coming out with me when it's cold.

My goal is to pull the 225 off the boat, have the bottom refinished, and install a new hydraulic jackplate when I put the motor back on.  New bunk boards and new carpet in the boat are on the list if time and money allow before tourneys start again

I ain't done yet, I will continue to fish till the weather turns crappy for good and/or ice is prohibiting to boating. My winter projects are new bunk boards for the trailer, a shallow water anchor system instalation, new water pump impeller, and I need to buy a new prop. I just bought a new one this year, but I have banged it up but good, and it'sin worse shape than thee old one I replaced.
