Was out on my yak this weekend both days.  Tougher than I expected for fall fishing.  Out on a small lake SAT and Harriet on SUN.

Caught three on Harriet.  Largest was 16/17 inches.  Caught all in about 7-10 FOW.  All hit a pumpkin sweet beaver.

I have fished Orchard Lake a few times this fall.  A couple of 18+ a few weekends ago down deep...more difficult recently.

Hope the weekend fishing conditions improve for this fall.

How deep are you finding them and what baits are working in the metro?

being a more national forum, it'll be a bit tough to get specifics on specific Mn lakes on here that way...would maybe have better luck posting it in this section...http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/forum/13-central-bass-fishing/

plenty of info on the site for fall fishing, typical fall pattern baits are universal & work where ever...

Agreed. Furthermore, instead of worrying about where other people are catching big fish at particular depths, realize that MN lakes differ drastically from one another. Certain lakes will be on fire in the shallows while other adjacent lakes may be better deeper. A lot of factors involved. I think what would help you is picking one particular lake and asking for help from the members here to get info. Perhaps provide a map, describe the conditions, and you will get great feedback pertaining to lures, presentations, and places to fish on the map.

Great feedback guys thanks.  FT, yes I find that thread informative.  Was just hoping to get some more recent feedback as the thread was starting to slow significantly.  Thanks for being easy on a noob!

I'll let you in on a Frog Turds Minnesota secret.  He has a weapon called the Ugly Pig, throw it and you'll catch about 400 bass an outing.  Just watch his youtube. ;)
