Id like to take a moment and thank everyone at Bassresource, Youtubers, and fellow fishermen for all the help and advice that ive aquired this past fishing season. With this being my first full year of fishing and targeting bass, it was certainly a blast and have learned a lot from all of you. I have enjoyed going out and trying new techniques that I would have never known about until now. Hopefully I will finish up this fall on a good note and start to really organize my fishing tackle over the winter for year. I can't wait to buy new tackle and fishing gear now that I have a better understanding of what would work well for my area.

Thanks again!

That's what keeps this site strong; guys sharing their insight and learning from others in the process.

Just a side note:  prior to the off season you'll want to get a good supply of Bait Monkey Repelent.  I ran out last Feb. and had to resort to downloading monkey porn to my PC just to keep him preoccupied when I was online.

That's what I like about the south.. No "offseason"  :respect-059:

That's great J.F.  I take that as an invite once our lakes up here freeze over.

I am very afraid of the Bait Monkey during this winter. Less time fishing in the winter = more time on the internet. More time on the internet = Bait Monkey teeth marks.

Ah yes, the off-season as DelcoSol calls it.

Actually, THERE ARE NO OFF SEASONS IN BASS FISHING!

The colder months are great for catching up on your reading and YouTube watching; organizing your baits and tackle; studying maps both paper on via Google Earth; watching your DVDs again and again; servicing your rods and reels; taking inventory in preparation for the February sales; planning where you are going to fish next year; getting the boat winterized; having a service guy look over the trailer and change the wheel oil and check the bearings; considering what upgrades to the boat you need to have done such as new electronics, trolling motor, live well pumps upgrade, bilge pump, etc.; considering anything else you want to add to your equipment or boat; studying the Cabela's and BPS catalogs; going on-line and reading about baits, rods and reels; and just about anything else you can think of.

After all, you can only watch so much ice hockey, football, basketball and women's beach volleyball.

Lots to do in the "off-season" to get ready for the "on-season" in addition to going out on a cold day and give some crankbaits a try for the fun of it.
