Has anyone tried these yet?

The website says 2014 release, but my local Dicks just put an endcap out full of them.

The action on the topwater is crazy. I have to slow it down. The bait really moves with minimum effort.

I love my GYCB, the company stated they wanted to bring Japanese quality baits with out the high price.  They look great and I defiantly want to try some, however to me it seems odd that they offer a high quality soft-plastic at a premium price but these high quality hard-baits at a cheap price, I guess this is what you do when you bring a new product to the market I just hope they work well and stay at this price range.

Looks like they are up on DSG's website.

I bet the price would go up if they use gama hooks.

As far as I know, he has been making hardbaits, or at least affiliated with them, for years now. The Native Spirits Sugoi line are all GY.

I've used the kinami (affiliated with Yamamoto) crankbaits they were pretty good laser sharp but light wire hooks

All Gary Yamamoto Custom Baits hard baits feature Mustad Triple Grip hooks, which are vet similar to the Mustad KVD Elite Series trebles. Fantastic hooks, some of the best I've used, and the best I've used of any USDM hard bait I've gotten my hands on. However, the Tate Pencil itself was very underwhelming. I would not personally recommend it at all. I cannot speak as to the other models, although early reports seem to indicate the Chikara crank bait is a producer.

I found them at my local dicks as well. I picked up a chart blue back 200 model. That one goes 4-6ft I believe. Anyways Ive used it one day, and I did pull one fish up with it. That day we could only get plastics to produce, and although me and my dad tried various moving baits, my Chikara crank was the only one that got any love. I love the action and flash that the bait has. Also the hooks are very sharp and seemed to be good to me. I would for sure recommend picking up a few. *** has them for sell, I ordered a about 5 more the other day.
