Bayoubassin8 Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 I have a problem with storing soft plastics. I have 30+ bags and need a way to store them. I currently have them in ziplock bags sorted by type. What are some ways that I could use limited space but hold them all? Quote
Super User Jrob78 Posted July 8, 2013 Super User Posted July 8, 2013 That's how I store mine too. Quote
haydenf96 Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 I put my bags of soft plastics inside the big gallon ziplock bags and then throw them inside my boat or tackle bag. Quote
Super User NorcalBassin Posted July 8, 2013 Super User Posted July 8, 2013 deep 3700s, problem solved. +1... that's exactly what I do and I can get a surprising number of bags in there. You shouldn't have a problem getting 30 packs in 2 rows in a 3731. Quote
papajoe222 Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 I keep them in the original bags for identification purposes when I run short and use a Browning worm bag. BPS has their brand in three sizes. Either one works great. You can even use the different sizes for different types of lures. Each 'page' can hold multiple bags of baits,or you can add more of them to increase individual storage compartments. Quote
Super User Sam Posted July 8, 2013 Super User Posted July 8, 2013 As Brian suggested plus the following: Keep them inside your house and not in the car, truck, garage or boat. Keep them in their original packages unless you want to retain the ones you used. If you retain the ones you use put them in a plastic baggie separate from the bulk of the rest so you don't contaminate the unused ones with whatever may be no the ones you have thrown. Keep the new ones pristine. Do not mix colors. Some brands "bleed" off their colors onto the other plastics stored with them. Quote
aceman387 Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 I use the bps binder bags like Papajoe described.I have one of the smallest size bags for smaller finesse worms and plastics and one of the bigger double sided ones for bigger worms and plastics.I am always tinkering around in the winter months to find the perfect formula; This past winter i got creative and took out all the ziplock bags in both so they look like empty mini suitcases and i put the soft plastics back into the original bags they came with and put them into the hollow binder bags.I noticed it was easier for me to spot different brands faster because of all of the different colored original bags. On a funny note, if i don't stop my buying soon i am going to have to upgrade to one of my wife's luggage bags. Quote
CDMeyer Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 I use Gander Mountain Boxes but it sounds like you have quite a view. But This is what I am in the proses of doing, putting up a peg board found the hangers they use in stores and put them on the peg board. then when I go out I will grab the bag I will use and maybe put them into 5 Gander Boxes. CxThree Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Just bought a couple of the KVD worm bags at basspro. $10 each and they hold about 20 bags each. I keep the worms in their original bags to ID them easily. So far, I like the KVD bags. Quote
Mccallister25 Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 I keep all my plastics in their original packaging, then throw them all in the BASS tackle bag they send you when you buy your membership. Works great for me, and i have quite a few packs in mine. Quote
THE_Vue's Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 i put them in original package and store them in a wal-mart plastic shoe box. they have vary of sizes Quote
Super User Bankbeater Posted July 9, 2013 Super User Posted July 9, 2013 I keep them in their packages, but I roll them up and keep them in a 3700 box. Quote
B@ssCrzy Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Keep them in their original package and then throw them all in a backpack. Works for me. Quote
CTGalloway21 Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 I went to the Dollar Store and grabbed two plastic storage bins that fit perfectly on a shelf. Quote
down4ttown Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Went to Lowes this weekend and bought (2) three packs of clear shoe totes. Plastic bags fit well inside (except for big worms 10") and they were only like 3.99 for 3 of them. Quote
Thatbasstardbrent Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 I reserve a pocket in my backpack for mine. Quote
