Super User Raider Nation Fisher Posted May 10, 2013 Super User Posted May 10, 2013 I got my first two cosmetic parts in today! The slide cover came in and the back strap cover. Right now I'm deciding between hydro graphics on the whole firearm or engraving on the slide. I wanna go with a blue and lime green theme this go around I think. I'm not currently sure. I'm ordering a Tungsten guide rod tomorrow for it. Here's a pic of the new slide cover. Quote
Super User Raider Nation Fisher Posted May 31, 2013 Author Super User Posted May 31, 2013 Powder coat it I've thought about that. I don't think they can do pattern or stencil work that way though. Still its not a bad idea. I may look into that. Quote
tstone Posted June 2, 2013 Posted June 2, 2013 have you looked into cerekote? I know they can do camo so maybe they can do other patterns too Quote

das028 Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 Spend the money on ammo and go shoot that thing! Haha...seriously though, nice piece. I own a g19 that's been collecting dust, due to my 1911 being so sweet!!! 1 Quote

I own a g19 that's been collecting dust, due to my 1911 being so sweet!!! I love shooting my Glock. I got enough ammo to last 5 years for that thing. I like 1911s too. Once I'm done tricking the glock out I may get another 1911. Quote

Keep your eyes peeled for .223 or the 5.56' and give me a holla if you can come across and decide deals...55 gr would be preferred as I gotta zero in some new sights I got more my are. What kind of 1911 do you have? I've alway tod new shooters that if they continue to shoot, and get the bug, they"ll get or want a 1911 at some point. IMHO, beat pistol design ever made. Gotta lov that single action! I own two. An old army issue, and my main target gun. Another colt 1991 that has about $1200 of money but into it. It's not a custom, but has a very nice action and trigger job. Plus all Wilson parts, mad for USPSA. smooth as hell, 3# trigger, and has been more reliable then any pistol I've ever had. It will feed empty brass. Not the prettiest gun in the world, mbut that's because I run it hard. To me holster wear, and nicks in dings give it character. I'll try and post a pic soon. Quote
