BassFishingMachine Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 I just wanted to get everyone's opinion on which creature bait works the best for them. The Yum Wooly Hawgtail is my choice, the bass just seem to love it for me. Its even one of my go to baits. Quote
mike bat Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 the yammy creature is one of my favorites /// ;D Quote
jonnylee82 Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 My favorite used to be the Kreature before the Sweet Beaver came along. The SB really does the trick anywhere. It's really versatile. I use it as a jig trailer, I T-rig it or rig it weightless, I drop-shot it, I pitch and flip it, shakey head... whatever I do, it works great. Quote
franklinfishfinder Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 I don't fish alot of creature baits but the one I've had the most sucess with is the Zoom Baby Brush Hog in watermelon gold glitter. Quote
Super User Catt Posted March 19, 2007 Super User Posted March 19, 2007 Zoom Baby Brush Hog & Stanley Wedge Hog Quote
flyphisher # Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 baby brush hog Super Hog Brush Hog Cold steel Worm-Lizards- Cashed some checks last year with these. Quote
CrazedL.IFisherman Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 I have an enormous bag of many creature baits and really like almost all of them, out of these choices the winner for me is the yum sooie, its big and bulky, big fish eat this lure, you can cast it far, it sinks perfectly, and not many people use this as far as i know, everyone seems to love the brush hogs Quote
Super User FishTank Posted March 19, 2007 Super User Posted March 19, 2007 I like Brush Hogs but GYCB Kreatures have been the best for me so far. I Texas rig them with 3/16 oz bullet weight and a 3/0 EWG hook. Quote
Super User Munkin Posted March 20, 2007 Super User Posted March 20, 2007 Baby brush hogs are my #1 producer but I use the Yamamoto Kreature for large SM. Allen Quote
basspro48 Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Sweet Beaver in hematoma t-rigged with 3/16 oz weight really tears up the Largies. But for the brown bass I like a Smallie Beaver in infection or sprayed grass on a dropshot rig with a 3/8oz weight. Quote
basscatcher8 Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Yum Wooly Hogtail is my favorite. Ive had fish of all sizes hit it consistently. Quote
Creature Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Yum Wooly Hawgtail is one of my absolute favorites. It will catch them deep of shallow!! Quote
Brad_Coovert Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Lots of good creatures on the market. In fact, I have yet to meet a creature that would not catch bass. IMO though, your list should be broke into two lists. One for creatures like Brush Hogs and GYCB Kreatures - ones with swimming appendages, and another list with Sweet Beavers, Beasts, etc. Totally different styles of baits for me. Brad Quote
linesider7 Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 I'm a Super Hog kind of guy, sometimes a Gambler Ugly Otter. Quote
skillet Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Zoom Baby and Brush Hogs were the first creatures I tried. They worked so well, I haven't really given anything a chance... As Ever, Skillet Quote
Super User .ghoti. Posted March 20, 2007 Super User Posted March 20, 2007 GYCB Creature and Berkley Power Brush Hawg. Gotta agree with Brad, the beaver and the beast really belong in a different category then creatures. Cheers, GK Quote
Super User RoLo Posted March 21, 2007 Super User Posted March 21, 2007 Gambler Ugly Otter Roger Quote
NEBassMan Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 I've used mostly the brush hogs, but bought some of these to try out this year. Mann's Hardnose Mosquito Hawk from the tests i've done in a tank, this thing should work awesome. those wings flap like crazy! Quote
Peter E. Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 I came in second in the last tournament I fished, I lost to a man who threw a june Bug brush hog in the last moments of the tournament. Quote
Rattlinrogue Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 My favorite creature bait is the Zoom Baby Brush Hog for flippin'/pitchin' and C-riggin'. Quote
