Anybody try it yet? I saw it in Dick's Sporting Goods the other day. It looks pretty cheap, but I'm pretty cheap myself and 8 bucks for a swimbait sounds good to me.

Post a pic or a link. I googled it and I am not sure I found the same bait. If so it looked like junk and I am sure I can recomend a better option around the same price. (without recomending one of mine)

Yeah, I Googled it and came up with what looks like a spook imitation, not a swimbait.

No need to try it, Matzuo baits are junk.

I beg to differ.  I caught the fish in my avatar and a 4 lb'er in the same day on a Matzuo Huntin' Dawg.  I've caught more fish on that lure than I have on a LC Sammy.  Best $2.50 I've spent.

The topwaters are, in fact, more than decent.

it looks like an almost exact copy of the River2Sea V-Joint minnow, which i can tell you from experience, is a great bait. i can't speak for any Matzuo products though...

I know a certain Lake Erie fisherman who will disagree with that statement.

He has more 6 pound smallmouth to his name than you can shake a stick at.

I would take a picture of it next time I go to Dick's, but I went in Falls Lake with my blackberry in March and the camera is out of commission. I'll try to get my buddy to take a picture if I go again. It's a pretty small hard plastic swimbait with a few joints. They're only like 8 or 9 bucks. I'll pick one up and let everyone know how it goes (if the woman doesn't spend all my money this weekend). They have Rage Tail Anacondas, Space Monkeys, and Lizards on sale for 2.79  and Yum Forked Dingers for 1.47 so I need to make a trip anyways. By the way, if you are in the Columbia Area, it is the Dick's on Harbison. Deer hunting videos are on sale for 4 or 5 bucks too.

That picture I posted isn't the one you're talking about? I saw a whole bunch of Matzuo Zen stuff the other day and that was the only swimbait in the series unless they didn't have the whole series at that time.

Matt, the Sportsman's Warehouse near me just got some of your baits in. I was looking at em but I think they are too heavy for what I have. I might pick one up anyway and just throw it on my heaviest setup. They look incredible. I'm too cheap for a lot of swimbaits, but from what I've read on this website, the 20 something dollar pricetag on yours seems to be very much worth it.

ahhh, gotcha. Don't remember seeing that one at the DSG near me. That guy has some nerve charging $20 for a lure you can buy for $8-9...

Ya, he's selling 2 but its still pricey. I have found that DSG is really hit or miss from store to store

HAHA! I didn't even notice it was 2! That's not too bad.

those are not the ones that I was thinking. They could be junk or decent depending upon how durable they are. They look like they should swim decent. I am not a big fan of all the the little hard shad "simbaits". However they are all comparable. If you can find one of those baits cheap in a decent color then try it. I dont think I like the $20 for 2 of them though. One thing you have to check before fishing, is the strength of the hook holders. Many of the plastic China swimbaits are notorious for having the hardware pull out under big fish pressure. Just apply reasonable preasure and if it stays put then you should be fine but if you notice some play then, at the very least reinforce it with some superglue.

Thanks for the help guys. I'll be sure to check the hook holders when i pick one up.
