They come in both silent and with rattles. The majority of mine have rattles. Silent models are just something different to throw. They tend to not scare some finicky bass off.

X's 2.  Thought so but the OP made me stop and think to myself "wait....really?".  So I went to the BPS website and I checked a couple brands that I use.  Strike King and Bandit both make them with/without rattles so Im sure the other companies do too.

I've got Strike King, Xcaliber, H2O Academy Brand and some Clunns that are silent. In all honesty, most of them were purchased by mistake and not looking at the package when I bought them. They are usually in the bargon bin

Lots of squarebills have rattles Lucky craft makes rattling, silent, and one knocker type squarebills. Spro Little Johns and Fat Johns have rattles. H20 baits have rattles, SK KVD baits come in silent and rattling. Sometimes one works better than the other, sometimes it makes no difference.
