Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted February 27, 2013 Global Moderator Posted February 27, 2013 They can be very effective at times. I've mainly had success with jointed hard bodied baits, usually 4-6 inch versions but I'm sure they'll eat larger ones if you're willing to put in the time. Generally good spinnerbait conditions equal good swimbait conditions on the Rock. Quote
Big Bassman Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 The reports I read is they currently are catching fish there on jerk baits, wiggle warts, and some jigs. I'll be there for the week of March 11th through the 15th. Probably fishing Kimberling area and James river north of Cape Fair. Maybe I will hear something when I'm there regarding your question. micahthorlawson Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 Heard the tourney guys killed them on the A-rig this weekend on The Rock. I will be there this weekend! Hope the A-rig doesn't take the top 10. Quote
micahthorlawson Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Had a rough trip to the Rock. Lost a keeper at the boat. My partner caught them on the A-rig, weighed an 11 pound bag. I had some REAL issues thowing the rig rig and lost about $150 of tackle to the lake. Most of the guys caught some on the rig or wart. Mine was on a FB jig in 25 ft of water. Quote
