Super User 00 mod Posted February 18, 2013 Super User Posted February 18, 2013 Some of you might remember reports from "Pond X" a couple years ago. Well the levy/dam was fixed about 8 months ago, so we decided to give it another shot. I took a roadrunner thinking there might be some bream/crappie in there from the birds. No stocking has been done, and I was pretty sure the whole thing dried up. Seems some life survived right by the natural spring that creates the pond. Jeff 3 Quote

ClackerBuzz Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 very cool. are you going to relocate any lunker girls there or just let nature take its course? Quote
Super User 00 mod Posted February 18, 2013 Author Super User Posted February 18, 2013 very cool. are you going to relocate any lunker girls there or just let nature take its course? It is not my pond. If I am allowed I will. Hopefully the owner will restock it. It is a great place to go fish! Jeff Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted February 18, 2013 Super User Posted February 18, 2013 Nice Job ~ Those first bites most have been very exciting and quite encouraging. Looks like a good place for a couple of automatic fish feeding units. A-Jay Quote

Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted February 19, 2013 Global Moderator Posted February 19, 2013 It's amazing anything was able to survive the pond being drained. That gives me some hope for a pond that I found this summer. It was just added to the walk in fishing atlas this year but when we stopped by this summer this 50 acre pond/lake was down to maybe 3 acres of very shallow water. There was bass and crappie heads laying everywhere, lots of bass that looked to be from 3-8 pounds. There was still some shad and carp alive in the pond but we didn't see any bass. Hopefully it will fill back up and come back like it looks like your pond is! Quote
Fishmaster10 Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 I'm glad that pond X is back! hopefully it doesn't take too long to return to its prime so that you can start showing off all of those lunkers you used to catch again Quote
Super User 00 mod Posted February 19, 2013 Author Super User Posted February 19, 2013 Just talked with the owner and "restocking" will be taking place next month!!!! Hopefully I can get some film of that as well! Jeff Quote
