I always use plain snaps....without the swivels. This gives most cranks and hard baits their intended action as well as making it easier for me to switch baits.

NEVER use a snap swivel! Way too much hardware.

Once in a great while I'll use one on a jigging spoon but not very often.

Regular snaps to change out treble hook baits,  chatterbaits and spinnerbaits baits.

Makes for a fast change of baits without the time to tie a knot.

Swivels on baits that twist, like Rooster Tails and grubs to help with line twist.  ;)

the only thing i use snap swivels for is connecting the swivel end to the top of a bobber and bending the snap out aways to hang from my line a little ways down from the tip , on my catfish setup , i use it as a line alarm ( to detect a bite ) while i'm fishing another rod !!!  ;)

Does anyone use the snap swivels anymore. Or do you just tie the lure on?

Depends on what the lure is. But,,I do not use "Snap Swivels",,just a snap, and that snap is a Berkley Crosslock.
