Anyone out there ever heard of the Dick Act?

Here is one link to it. Seems it stops gun control laws.

I have never heard of it. Maybe some of you guys have come across it.

It is in legal jargon so don't get too confused.

Seems like, according to Snopes, much of this legislation has been modified, in Acts occurring in 1908, 1916 and 1920.

As far as being able to have any weapon the US government has, it's pretty doubtful owning a nuclear device would be allowed to protect yourself.

Been wondering about the National Guard myself, today they are deployed overseas, back in the 60's being in the National Guard( Army Reserve too) was a ticket not to go to Viet Nam.

I'm in the guard have been in for 5 years this month abd will be reenlisting for another 6 very very soon and then when I'm at the end of that contract I'm going to reenlist again. We deploy most of you know I just got home from a deployment a few weeks ago like 6 weeks ago now. They are talking bout moving it to month long annual training instead of 2 weeks and making drills longer also. I don't mind either I'm actually in the process of looking for another state deploying soon and trying to go again with them.

A nuke no. However if you fill out all the forms and go by the book it IS possible to own any firearm that the US government owns. As well as some that they do not. Such as the Russian made AA 12 guage. The 1986 ban on automatic weapons manufactured after that year and DD manufactured after that year. Can be circumvented. Either by:

A. Owning a company that manufactures and modifies firearms. Manufacture is the key word there.

B. Owning a company that deals in firearms and Class lll weapons. Through dealing class lll you can import automatic weapons as demos for law enforcement and other government agencies. After paying for the demo weapon, you can either return it or hold on to it. By hold on to it, it must be stored in the place of business that holds the license. Ownership cannot be transferred or left in a will. As long as you hold the license or your corporation holds the license you may retain possession of said weapon. If you die, close up shop, or let the license expire. ATF comes and takes possession of said weapon.
