Was watching Fishing University this morning and caught Tuf-Line's free spool offer.  Just pay $4.99 shipping.  No experience with Tuf-Line in any form so I decided to give it a try.  Turns out your choice is either 12# (6# mono equivalent)  or 20# (10# mono equivalent).  Just so happens I had planned on trying some 20# on my PE Line Special.  Line isn't as small a diameter as other super lines.  In fact from what the Tuf-Line representative said about the line, it isn't a braid at all.

Offer is here:  http://www.tuf-line.com/free-line.php

Curious as to what those of you who have used the line think about it?  Was it worth the $4.99 investment?  Thanks.

My thought exactly.  However, if it is worthless, then better to have put that $5 towards a different line.

Looks like their spectra braid with a coating of something on it (which makes it thicker also). Could be interesting. They don't carry much tufline products at a lot of places around here. I hear they are similar to powerpro in some ways but I don't know for sure. I wish they had this packaged in 150 yds instead of 100 but for $5 it's still a good deal.

Ok.....I got some of the 20lb. I like trying new line so it's worth the $5 just to experiment with.

Awesome deal!  Just so you guys know, a respected member here, Fish Chris, uses Tuf-Line exclusively.  And he catches some monsters!

I've used tufline products for the last 4 years, the stuff is great from Flipping Junk to spinning with Ika's.  The regular braid is very soft and smoother than comparable PP.  It fades to a nice grey/green color (like the grey in desert digi-camo).  Holds knots well.  I'm going to grab a spool of this stuff too.
