set_the_hook Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 Does anyone have experience with these baits? I ordered one in the yellow perch color in the slow/fast sink. Quote
Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted March 26, 2010 Super User Posted March 26, 2010 Just reminds me of a jointed trap. It will catch fish, but I feel those fish are not the ones you will be looking for as "swimbait" fish. If you have not held one in your hands, I think you might be in for a surprise when you see how big (small) it really is. The 5" baits are more along the lines of a decent sized baitfish. Quote
Super User Hooligan Posted March 26, 2010 Super User Posted March 26, 2010 I actually really like the 4" version for pike and wipers. I've never fished it for bass in earnest, primarily because I've got other baits I fish. Quote
spraycrew Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 I agree with Speadbead the 4" seems really small esp when you compare it with the 5" bait. I caught the 3 crappie on the 4" swimbait. Quote
DINK WHISPERER Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 IMO they are okay at best. The Spro 4" shad is a much better more realistic option for the same $. Quote
