Haven't read it, but that's pretty awesome that you're just 17 years old and already getting published in a major magazine. I used to be a subscriber but got tired of what seemed like re-ran articles. Maybe I'll browse through it at the store and reconsider if it's as good as you say.

Waiting for my Bassin magazine to show  up.

Will read your article.

If you want criticisim show the article to your English teacher and ask him/her to let you know what they think and how you can improve your writing skills.

As for gramatical and spelling errors - those are the responsibility of the magazine's editor and/or proof reader.

And regarding the gramatical and spelling errors, they will always happen. What we want is new substance. Things we have not tried or considered. Articles that will make us consider a new technique or bait. LIke your BAM article on using large baits for bass.

BanknOnBass's query is a good one. Maybe you can research this topic and pen your next article to inform us all about the moon's phases.

"I read a Bassmaster article in the magazine a couple years ago where this dude was fishing in Florida from Jan.- March. He was fishing 3 days leading up to the full moon, and 3 days coming off one. Said it increases your odds at a big one. Does anyone have any increased luck around the full moon phases? The guy did catch a 14 pounder, but I want more."

How about writing an article about the different methods hook manufacturers use to sharpen their hooks?

Is the Trokar method the best or just hype?

How do they actually sharpen their hooks?

Or how there are no standards in the fishing tackle industry so one company's 2/0 hook is not the same size as another company's 2/0 hook, etc.?

Have you thought of conducting your own research? Such as using different brands and types of scents? And what does Dr. Jones have to say about scents? Not Indiana Jones, but Keith Jones.

And what goes into the scents? What are the size of the molecules and can the bass actually taste and smell them or are we wasting our money?

How to best prepart live Nighcrawler scent on your plastics. What to buy to process the Nightcrawlers and how long to keep your plastics in the mix in the bag they plastics come in? Are red worms better or worse than Nightcrawlers?

How fast does water heat up depending on its clarity,  depth and location on the lake or pond? This would be interesting. Does structure help the heating process? How long before the bass go to the warmer temperatures?

There are lots of other topics one can think of for you to research and write about. Consider all options.
