This year I am switching my spinning reels to braid with a Fluor leader for drop shot, shakeys, weightless, ect. I was going to go with 10lb braid. What do you recommend? I have only used 65lb power pro on my frog road, that is the extent of my braid use.

I was thinking of wither Power Pro slick, Sufix 832, Kanzen, or Spiderwire Ultracast.

I use Spiderwire Ultimate braid. Its awesome. Power Pro Slick8 is great too. I havent tried 832 or Kanzen. On my spinning reels i use the Spiderwire and i like it alot! But any of the above lines should do well. The only one i havent heard anything about is Kanzen.

I use regular power pro in 10 lb on my drop shot rod, 15lb on my shaky head/wacky jig rod, and 20lb on my dock skipping rod. Been using it for years, it's good, cheap, and available every where.

10lb Power Pro, pulled in huge logs with it, but better yet, big bass too.

Have tried many brands, PP my fav.

Stren braid is good for the price and better than spider wire. IMO The new sunline sx1 finesse braid is supposed to be pretty good but I have yet to try it.

Just looked at that SX1 online and seems that it may be leading the pack right now. Very interesting.

I've mainly used 20 and 30 pound Power Pro, it works good. The 30 limits casting distance somewhat compared to 20 but on the other hand I've actually broken 20 on a hookset on my spinning gear. Only once and I'm sure it was my own fault, that particular spool up had gone through many nasty wind knots.

I just recently picked up a spool of 20# Super 8 Slick green to try. I've heard it does really well on spinning reels.

Assuming this will be on a bass sized spinning reel 20# is the absolute max, no need for anything heavier. As long as it's one of the popular brands it doesn't make much difference, the important thing is the quality of your knots.  Winds knots generally occur because the line gets twist, 2 main reasons cause that.  Some lure types spin or revolve like spoons, flukes may not have the hook centered and they can turn over.  Secondly the natural action of line being wrapped around a spinning spool will put twist on, BB swivels help some but it still happens.  If your snap casting the line is coming off the spool very fast, it hits the first guide and bingo a knot, try to make an easy long flowing cast this will help some.
