Super User 00 mod Posted December 28, 2012 Super User Posted December 28, 2012 2012 was not the best fishing year for me. I had some major setbacks that kept me off the water this year more than I would have liked. But that's just the way the cookie crumbles some times. I did manage the best amount of 5+lb bass ever for me, which is largely in part to my Mexico trip. I finally broke the DD mark (twice), which has been a lifelong goal. I was also able to do a little offshore fishing. All in all it was a good year. 52 Days on the water 360 Bass 22 of which were SM 47 were 5+lbs (13%) 2 over 10 with my new PB of 10LB 14OZ Also caught 2 stripe marlin and 15 dorado. But best of all I got to spend 3 days with my wife trout fishing. Nothing like spending time with the one you love, doing the thing you love most. 2013 goals are to have as much fun on the water as I did this year. Road Trip again. And Mexico again. See everyone at the 2013 Road trip!! http://www.bassresou...wick/index.html Jeff 1 Quote

shimmy Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 That is Dwight Hottle status there! You have joined one of the elite teams with such a year regardless that it was in Mexico. Flat out awesome numbers. Not Big-O status, but one can only dream! I hope this forum keeps up a Mexico trip through the years so it can be a frequent thing. Great year man. Troy Quote

Super User Goose52 Posted January 2, 2013 Super User Posted January 2, 2013 "47 were 5+lbs (13%)" WOW - that's a fantastic number! I can only dream about a number like that in my little lakes... Sounds like a good year - hope you double those numbers this year. I didn't catch a lot of big fish this year, but I do have lots of statistics - I think you've inspired me to do a wrap-up as well...
