BenoBreath Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 I had decent sucess last season, split- shotting the 5" worm. What are some of the other ways to rig this bait ? Thanks BB Quote

Super User roadwarrior Posted February 8, 2010 Super User Posted February 8, 2010 phenomenal drop shot bait. Which size are you using on your drop shot rig? Quote
Super User J Francho Posted February 9, 2010 Super User Posted February 9, 2010 phenomenal drop shot bait. Which size are you using on your drop shot rig? Can't say for Crestliner, but I use the 4 or 4.5" size. You could probably us the bigger ones, but that size seems to match the size of the alewife up here. I see the bigger ones as more of a t-rig or wacky rig bait. Quote
soccplayer07 Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 how are you guys using the 6.5"??? I know RW uses them on a shaky. Anyone else? I'm a little worried it's to large for a shaky rig. Quote
rubba bubba Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 Definitely shakey. It will give that "nose down feeding shad" look to it which is irresistable. Quote
Super User Crestliner2008 Posted March 2, 2010 Super User Posted March 2, 2010 Sorry I didn't see the question sooner. I use the 4.5" version and sometimes I nose hook it; other times I'll semi-wacky it. By that I mean I hook it about 1 1/2" from the nose wacky style. Sometimes it seems to make a difference. Color doesn't seem to matter. Smallies love this darn worm! Quote

quanjig Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 Kinami........... 4" drop shot kinami............5" t rig or shakey GYCB..............5 3/4" shakey( favorite and best producer) GYCB..............6.5" or larger t rig or c rig Quote
tnbassfisher Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 I typically just T-Rig them. And nice fish JFranco! Quote
brushhoggin Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 how are you guys using the 6.5"??? I know RW uses them on a shaky. Anyone else? I'm a little worried it's to large for a shaky rig. its not too big with the right jig head. they perform best like RW said, texas rigged unpegged Quote
Super User iceintheveins Posted March 4, 2010 Super User Posted March 4, 2010 T rig them weightless like a senko and they work great. Quote
DWG1984 Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 I saw somone wacky rigging them and weighting the tail its a pretty unique looking presentation, I think its called a neco rig Im planning on trying it this year Quote
