Super User Root beer Posted October 22, 2012 Super User Posted October 22, 2012 A former classmate and I were having lunch today and he said, "It's the fact that they are adventurous, cultured, and open to experimentation. Three keys to achieving intelligence." It's so true. The more time I spend in the real world talking to people and reading things on online message boards, I find it extremely fascinating that people are quick to dismiss, judge things, and lack tolerance because of ignorance. I think human behavior is starting to become a pet peeve of mine. I don't ask for these thoughts, it mostly started by watching two of George Carlin's acts. Life is Worth Losing and It All B.S. Folks. haha. It just blew my mind. Quote
Super User Raider Nation Fisher Posted October 24, 2012 Super User Posted October 24, 2012 The first quote sounds like some of the college girls I remember. Werent those some fun times. As for the last rest of the post. I lost faith in humanity a long time ago. People are stupid. Its amazing man kind has made it as long as it has. Quote

When we as people are free to express ourselves in an open, private enviroment such as a web based forum, what I mean by private is that it is only you and the computer you are using to express or voice your opinion, being anonymous gives some the freedom and or courage to express themselves in a manner of which they would otherwise not be able to do in a civilised, public enviroment. George Carlin was and still is my hero, LOL !! He took the insane truth about all of us and made us laugh about it, even if we knew we were part of the group he was making fun of. The first quote sounds like some of the college girls I remember. Werent those some fun times. As for the last rest of the post. I lost faith in humanity a long time ago. People are stupid. I have not lost faith in humanity yet, we all do stupid things, some are just not capable of learning from their mistakes and the mistakes of others around them, the ones who can not learn from these mistakes tend to follow blindly behind others that have no clue how to lead. We just need better leaders, I suggest ones that love to fish as we do !! Quote
Super User MCS Posted October 24, 2012 Super User Posted October 24, 2012 Problem with humanity is that we have created a world with no survival of the fittest, thus the stupid people that would not be able to hack it in past times keep breeding. And by no means am I endorsing any kind of breeding control LOL more like get fire works back on the streets in all states, that would eliminate about half the stupid people in Raiders post right there. Super User J Francho Posted October 24, 2012 Super User Posted October 24, 2012 The world is full of stupid, and I think I might be one of them. But seriously, I see the problem is a lack of humility, not intelligence. 1 Quote
Super User BrianinMD Posted October 24, 2012 Super User Posted October 24, 2012 I don't think the level of stupidity has gone up, they just have more options in proving their stupidity. Quote
