Matt Kremers Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 We will be playing with tipups and jigging poles up here for a while, until ice-out. Luckily I will make it down south later in the month where I plan to throw some lipless cranks, frogs, swimbaits, and heavy flipping/pitching. Quote
PondHunter Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 I use a 1/8th oz. jig with a smoke/fleck, or pumpkinseed grub trailer combo. The slow fall and translucent lure seems to work well. Quote

Super User Crestliner2008 Posted February 6, 2010 Super User Posted February 6, 2010 Well, hopefully we'll have a warming trend and ice out on the river by the end of this month. Then we'll start tossing tubes, blades and hard jerks for smallies. And, hopefully by the middle or end of March, the lakes will free up from their frozen grip. Then the fun really begins! Been a very long winter. > Quote
Super User Dan: Posted February 6, 2010 Super User Posted February 6, 2010 it depends on a lot of things but I'm hoping to throw more crankbaits. Quote

Super User MALTESE FALCON Posted February 7, 2010 Super User Posted February 7, 2010 Right now, I agree with the snowballs. In about six weeks, when the ice melts, I'll start with spinnerbaits, shallow crankbaits, lipless crankbaits, and hard jerkbaits. Falcon Quote
