BassinNY Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 All-around rod: Spinning: 6 1/2' or 7' Medium Power/ Fast Action Baitcasting: 6 1/2' or 7' Medium Heavy/ Fast Action X2 What's your budget for the new combo? If we know your budget it will narrow down a more specific rod/reel. Quote
RobertBG Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 So far I'm really happy with my st croix mojo 6'6 medium fast action spinning rod, especially for what I spent on it.I paired it with a old mitchel i had left over but that will be the next upgrade when it is in the budget.I will say I was hesitant about the split grip thing but after my first long cast I really liked it and it felt more natural then expected Quote
MikeOGNR Posted June 21, 2012 Author Posted June 21, 2012 My budget is about 80-100 bucks if there is a nice baitcaster that will fit that and fit my needs for all around good i would love to know. Quote
BassinNY Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 In the 80-100 dollar range the BPS Pro Qualifier is hard to beat. It's based off the Revo platform as are the Lew's reels. Quote
