Lunker City markets the Sluggo.  Lunker City also markets the Texposer, a hook designed specially for the Sluggo.   I've got some, they work good.

The 5/0 Texposer hook is also a good  Bubba dropshot hook.

I used to rig those little 3" ones on a 1/0 gold light wire hook.  I believe it was called an Aberdeen hook.  Never missed any fish on it but never caught anything larger than 13" with them either.

A standard offset worm hook works best for the Slug-Gos. I used to use a 4/0 for the 6" and a 2/0 for the 4" so I'd say a 1/0 would be best for the 3". Eagle Claw Lazer Sharp is a good hook for the money.

Nose hook 'em on a drop shot. DY-NO-MITE! ;)

31 degrees, 15-20 mph and spitting rain around

here, but I was at a local pond before sunrise!

Following Crestliner2008's advice resulted in

three 5+ and two 3-4 lbs.

Woo-Hoo!

Thank you!

Never used the 3" but on the 4", a 2/0 - 3/0 Thinwire EWG works fine. I would try a 1/0 or possibly 2/0 for t-rigging.

Like I said....they are dynamite on a drop shot. I probably use them as much as I do the roboworms. The first time I used it in a couple of feet of water - to see how they worked - I was hooked. Happy they worked for ya!  :)
