I have a Curado 50E and was wondering how it would compare to the Core. I know the Core is lighter, but is there $150 more worth of difference?

Thank You,

Scott.

Other than one is a 7.0 my core50 won't do anything my 50e wont do.

That said if you have a core 50 you won't use your 50e

Well, 150 sounds like a lot of money but you quickly forget once you´ve put your hands on a magnesium reel.

I love my core 50, and I have 3 50e's. Tough decision, one you will have to make! See if you can fish with someone's you might know! We only live an hour away, if you are ever in Memphis, I have one you can fish!

Well the offer stands, now until whenever! Bring a 50e, or I will bring any of mine! Just let me know!

I read before from a famous gunwriter something to the effect that one is none and two is one.

I have one of each, both with upgraded bearings, Orange Seals. Except for the weight thing, I don't think one is better than the other. Both are great little reels. The question is really if YOU think it's worth more to have the same basic reel (performance and feel wise) in a little lighter form.

I have my Curado 50E on another rig, so I use it quite a bit.

However, I still agree with the premise, the Core is VERY special!
