I need to get some of those frogs. I've heard so much about them. I'm going to get some for next weekend.

killed it last night on topwater frogs, it was awesome! Couldn't see much but you hear the frog paddling then WACK! 10+ bass and a whole lot of missed opportunities

"Where" is 'killing it'? If you don't mind me asking?

Now...I fish daytimes 2-3 times a week, weekdays and mostly on Webster Lake but I try to vary my terrain and baits...Ok,and I'm in a boat. Been catching fish...regularly on stuff that you drag through the deep weeds, with a start and drop retrieve. Should have a swimming tail and look somehow like a shad. 20+ bass every outing...pickerel, perch, sunfish aplenty as well. Hope it helps.

Hey guys I'm from norwood, ma and just started fishing. I've been doing okay I've had the last two weeks of and caught probably 50 fish but all on senkos and two on spinnerbait.I also don't know anyone else who fishes so if anyone needs a partner or has any tips for other baits please let me know. Thanks I wouldn't have caught any without this website.

Hey massrob, I fish Buckmaster's in Westwood at times. As a matter of fact I fished there this afternoon for a couple of hours with some luck. In the 2 hours there I was able to get 5 on a lipless crank. The fish were all out in the second weed line in about 8-10 ft of water. The lipless crank was the only way I was getting to them. Long casts, slow, stop and go retrieves and I found that the fish were relating to 2 different types of weeds growing next to each other.

You're probably not far from the pond, check it out. Maybe one afternoon I can meet you over there?

I fish buckmaster pond a lot too, usually take my dog there when I go visit my mother. Never caught anything big out of there but most of the time I'll catch a few dinks, decent trout fishing too.

I'll have to give the lipless a shot, normally I get them on a drop shot occasionally a black and blue chatterbait

I've fished at buckmaster a few times and actually that's where I caught my first largemouth that got me hooked on fishing. I live right down the street so anytime you want to meet there would be great. I'd love to meet someone that could teach me a few things I've learned just by reading stuff. Email me with ur info

massrob, I'm not sure when I'll be back to Buckmasters next, but I will absolutely let you know when I do go back there. It will more than likely be for the fall bite and I may get there sooner. In the mean time, get yourself a lipless crank in a pumpkinseed or orange craw pattern and cast as far as you can to get to that second weed line. Dick's sports is having a buy 1 get 1 clearance and I know they have those lures.

Hey guys,

I'm in Arizona right now but a native to MA, coming back in early to mid-September. Based of results you guys are facing now, how do you think the fishing will be around then? I've been seeing a lot of people worrying about water temps because of the long winter but since I haven't been around since March, I haven't fished this season. Unless we get a nice warm September, I don't think I'm going to bother going out this year unfortunately :/

I will get one of those lip less crank baits I got one but I don't think it matches what they're eating. Thanks for the tip. Hope too see you at buckmaster

Hey Clark617, I expect the fall bite to just as good as any other year. Welcome back to the Bay State!

I would expect fishing to be pretty good in September, I was catching them through October last year

Got out to Blue Hills Res for an hour the other day before work.  Caught the biggest LMB of the season, between 2- 3 lbs., which is surprising there because I've not caught much more than 'dinks' here since last August.  Caught one more 'dink' before I had to leave too.

I caught it on a dark green w/red flake swimming Senko.

I caught a 5.3 lbs largemouth tonite in norwood at this little pond you wouldn't even think there would be fish in.

Thanks man it was a fight to get that thing in. It looked like a little pig jumping out of the water when it jumped.

I used a senko. I saw the fish inhale it right in front of me it was crazy. I never saw that happen before. It was so cool.
