Got a couple of Dinks last night @ BHR.  I'm beginning to believe that it's a young pond that's been fished out, but only time will tell.

Got a pair of decent/OK bass @ Houghton's this morning.  One on a Rapala shad-rap and the other on a texas rigged Zoom worm in Gourd Green.  I've always had good luck with this particular Zoom-er.

Planning on getting out on the kayaks next weekend as long as I can get my work & homework done.  I'm trying to finish my MBA by the end of June.

good luck to everyone out there in Taxachusetts....

Got down to Jacobs Pond in Norwell for an hour or so after work - nice kayak/canoe ramp but the weeds have taken over the whole place.

Got a few hits on a small Gulp worm but didn't do much other than "mow the lawn"

Went out on halfway pond in plymouth in my canoe this weekend, had a blast.  If you haven't been out there before it's a beautiful pond and I think it's got some real good untapped bass potential... although only accessible from shore or car-top boats.  LMB, SMB and a nice healthy pickerel population to boot!

Caught about 10 fish (and lost quite a few as well) 2 largemouth, a smallmouth and a boat load of really healthy fat pickerel.  All of the fish except the last pickerel of the day came on a strike king caffeine shad rigged on a twist-lock weighted swimbait hook.  Fish were crushing this bait all day to to the point that I had to switch to a wacky rig at the end because I ran out of caffeine shads.

Here's a picture of one of the largemouths and one of the pickerel

I am heading to Webster Lake next week and have never fished it before. I am wondering if anyone has fished it recently, and can help with some info. What lures are working? Colors? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Hit the Charles in west Roxbury today, got nothing not even a sniff.

I've been getting good numbers off the drop shot this year but I'm still waiting for my lunker

Got out to Little Pond in Plymouth for a couple hours after work today. Got a decent bass to the kayak before it spit me out & landed one dink after that.

Hit stump pond in westborough today. Got 4 good sized bass, and a bunch of hits on the frog

Go figure mike, I was out in my canoe on the A1 yesterday from about 1-6 PM. Me and my buddy caught 9 LMB between the two of us, big fish on the day was 3lbs, but all the rest were still nice fish in the 1.5-2lb range. Caught on topwater frog and weedless senkos. Also had what appeared to be a decent pike hooked up for about 15 seconds before he found a way to spit the frog

I love stump pond, yesterday was my first trip out there this year. I was glad to see the weeds weren't too bad. Last time I was out there was last august/September and it was like paddling through salad

Beats my biggest of the year so far...  What are water temps in southern NH at the moment?  Have the bass finished spawning yet?

Most bass seem to have finished spawning around here about 2 weeks ago, slowed fishing down a little the past few weeks.  Water temps creeping into the low 70s from what I can see around here.

Water temps that day were ranging from 69 degrees to 71 degrees, and yeah they finished up spawning... Even with the harsh winter the spawn timing stayed on track.

Went surf fishing for about 20 min before I got slammed by a mini hurricane. Then driving back all the roads in winthrop were flooded and I flooded my engine. Good day.......

Got over to Sunset Lake in Braintree with the kayak for about an hour and a half. Panfish were picking @ my worm, but other than that, pulled up a lot of weeds while using a Rapala.

The wife & I took our kayaks to Little Pond in Plymouth today. I caught 4 decent Bass & the wife caught 2. My swimming Senko was getting beaten up badly, but I need to improve my hook setting with it: it sure isn't as soft as a 'regular' Senko.

Ok...the spawn's over and we can get down to the business of catching bass. I know it's easier in a boat but the principle's the same. Lower light conditions seem to make the fish more comfortable in shallower water so they tend to come up the dropoffs to put on the feedbag. They will also eat in the middle of the day but they're in a different place. Usually shady or enclosed areas like under docks or weed beds in 8-12ft of water are where they can be found. From shore, if you fish a known steep drop off area with weeds, using something that will pass readily through the weeds or grass or whatever, then you'll have a good shot at some fish. Early and late, topwaters and jerkbaits should do the trick. Using this method, the last two weeks, has produced 30-50 fish per outing. Couldn't hurt to give it a try.

Got back to Little Pond in Plymouth yesterday after work.  I caught a decent Rainbow Trout with a 4" Watermelon/Red flake Senko (A first), one small LMB, and lost something that was big & ticked off because of knot failure.

I have to say the trout didn't fight at all like a bass, I was't sure what I had until I got it close to my kayak.

Jiggy Jiggy Jiggy Fishing season is upon us....perhaps a small shift in priorities is in order....at least for the sake of your sanity.

Had an awesome day on the kayak today, got 4 bass and one real ticked off pickerel. Biggest bass was 4lbs. They were hitting spinnerbaits and swim jigs.

grampa Trup, I couldn't agree with you more, I'm hoping not too long after the 4th I can shed some commitments!

As always, I have nothing but good wishes for you and your family!
